📍 Villa Bärlis – In the Iron Age 31 · Two Languages. One Childhood.

Villa Bärlis is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Zurich’s 6th District (8057)—a little away from the hustle and bustle, nestled in a traffic-calmed, green setting. What makes it special is the house itself: a true villa with spacious rooms and its own garden, which invites children to play, explore, and have picnics. For families who appreciate a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature, the villa is a safe haven where they can truly unwind.

Here, every child grows up bilingual. As a bilingual daycare center, we run Villa Bärli in German and English: Languages aren’t taught, but lived—through play, songs, conversation, and everyday situations, without any pressure. This way, two languages naturally become part of childhood.

What unites all Bärlis locations is also present at the Villa: consistent caregivers who stay with us for years, providing security, trust, and emotional stability. Daily life is varied and well-balanced—free play, creative sessions with art, music, dance, and piano, physical activity including swimming, gym, yoga, and field trips, as well as our own forest and nature group, which explores nature from its forest cabin. Lunch is cooked with love: fresh, organic meals prepared daily by Alberta and Massimo, tailored to the children’s needs—from baby food for the youngest to a shared lunch table.
